Owen ‘Alik Shahadah is a multi-award winning filmmaker, cultural writer, photographer and music producer. Known for authoring work, which deals with social justice, environmental issues, education and world peace. 2007 marks the release of the political documentary OUR STORY OUR VOICE.

2007 also marks the nomination of 500 YEARS LATER for the Paul Robeson Award at Africa's largest film festival FESPACO. UNESCO, as part of the bicentenary commenmoration have just awarded 500 YEARS LATER the award for 'Best film on Slavery.'
