Tunde Jegede is a composer and multi-instrumentalist who is uniquely placed between the worlds of African and Western forms of Contemporary Classical music. He is a prolific Producer/Song writer and has worked across many genres both as a performer (Cello, Kora, Piano and Percussion) and Producer.

Tunde began his apprenticeship within the ancient Griot Tradition of West Africa in 1982 when he went to The Gambia to study with the Master of the Kora (West African Harp-Lute), Amadu Bansang Jobarteh. The Jobarteh family are one of five principle musician families within this unique hereditary Oral tradition, which dates back to at least the 13 th century.
